10 June 2014, Tuesday
Five new pre-school educational establishments began to operate in Naberezhnye Chelny today. President of Tatarstan attended the opening ceremony.
Over the course of his working trip to Chelny, the head of the republic visited the new kindergarten No. 108 in Yashlek district. As the other four kindergartens opened today, it is co-funded by the Tatarstan’s kindergarten construction programme and federal budget. The 260-place kindergarten cost 138.4 million roubles, including 105 million provided by Tatarstan and 33.4 million by the national budget.
Rustam Minnikhanov inspected the premises, talked to young pupils and went to the assembly hall where a linkup session with the other four kindergartens was arranged. Tatarstan Construction, Architecture and Housing Minister Irek Faizullin reported from kindergarten No. 107 that the facility had been put into operation. Tatarstan Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov joined the session from kindergarten No. 41, saying the major renovation costing 71 million roubles had been performed with high quality.
Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Vasil Shaikhraziev spoke at kindergarten No. 108, recalling that it had been 35 years since five kindergartens opened in the city at once. The city chief thanked Tatarstan Construction Minister and builders for the high-quality quick work. On behalf of the citizens, he thanked President of Tatarstan as well.
Rustam Minnikhanov said that a total of eight kindergartens were scheduled to open in Naberezhnye Chelny later in the year. “Providing good pre-school education for our children is our duty,” President of Tatarstan stressed. “Our future is in our children.”
He then gave a certificate for an interactive educational system to kindergarten No. 108 and said the same certificates would be presented to the other kindergartens opened on that day, the presidential press service reports.
