International astronomy Olympiad among school pupils to take place in Kazan

Between 15 and 23 October, Kazan will host an international astronomy Olympiad among school pupils. Participants will be over 60 boys and girls from Romania, Macedonia, Korea, India, Thailand, Czechia, Bulgaria, Italy, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Sweden and Russia.

The competition will include three rounds: theoretical, observational and practical. The practical round will take place at Kazan Federal University’s Engelhart astronomy observatory.

The international astronomy Olympiad will officially open on 16 October at Kazan City Hall.
