The winners of Tatarstan-wide IT Champion competition were awarded at Kazan’s IT Park earlier in the day. In the two years the competition has existed, 363,000 schoolchildren teaching how to use the Tatarstan public service portal have been its participants. This year, 94 schools in Tatarstan took part in the Most Active School nomination.

A Kauym Nasyri Institute education and culture centre opened at the premises of school No 1186 with Tatar studies focused curriculum on Wednesday. Attendees at the opening ceremony were Tatarstan State Council Chair Farid Mukhametshin, Tatarstan representative in Russia Ravil Akhmetshin, Tatarstan education minister Engel Fattakhov , and other officials, as well as public activists, representation’s press secretary has said.

A nation-wide meeting on legislative regulation and improvement of the secondary school graduation examinations, EGE and GIA, in 2014-2015 is held in Kazan on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Attendees are Rosobrnadzor education oversight authority chief Sergei Kravtsov, Tatarstan education and science minister Engel Fattakhov, and chiefs of Volga Federal District education authorities.

An increase in parents’ fees for child care in kindergartens is caused by the new tasks, including improvement of kindergarten infrastructure and quality of pre-school education, pre-school establishments faced, Tatarstan Education Minister Engel Fattakhov told reporters earlier in the day.

Some 18,000 school undergraduates in Tatarstan, along with peers in other Russian regions, today write the final essay required to be admitted for the 2015 unified state exam. At 9:30 am, Federal Education and Science Oversight Service sent five essay themes for the examinees to choose from.

The parental payment for a kindergarten will be increased in Tatarstan from January 1, 2015. The growth will amount to 12 percent in average or about 280 rubles, the chief of Tatarstan Education and Science Ministry’s preschool education office Elvira Izmailova reported at a briefing on 20 November.

The organization of a final essay will be tested in Tatarstan as in all Russian regions on 20 November. Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights Tatarstan Directorate recommended to use at least 30 percent of schools. As much as 50 percent of schools will write the test essay in the republic. Thus, over 10,000 graduates from 514 Tatarstan schools will take part in the test organization.

A total of 222 people had in 2014 received scholarships within the Tatarstan government-sponsored Algarysh programme, Tatarstan First Deputy Education Minister Andrei Pominov told a briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers.
The speaker recalled that Algarysh had operated since 2006, over which time 3,137 people had won in it. The list includes undergraduates, postgraduates, young scientists, faculty members, teachers of English, comprehensive educational establishment staff, project groups, ICT specialists and higher vocational schools.

Starting 7 October, schools in Tatarstan are forbidden to collect funds and other items of value from the parents for any needs. A respective letter, signed by Tatarstan Education and Science Minister Engel Fattakhov, had been sent to the chiefs of municipality education departments, Tatarstan Education and Science Ministry’s press service told Tatar-inform.
