Most Tatarstan high school graduates sit for 2012 unified state exam
1 June 2012, Friday
Most Tatarstan school students this morning sat for the 2012 USE in the Russian language.
Russian language and mathematics are two compulsory examinations that influence the graduation certificate. Tatarstan Education Ministry department of education quality and certification monitoring head Lilia Amirova told journalists 110 examination stations were active in Tatarstan, where 22,510 students sat for the Russian language exam.
The minimal score for the Russian language exam is 36, the official recalled. Last year, 54 school graduates in Tatarstan earned a maximal score of 100.
A total of 12 graduates were ousted from the history, biology and computer science exam that took place on 28 May, she went on to recall. Ten were done so for using a cellular phone, one for using reference books and another one for publishing monitoring and test materials on the web. The Tatarstan State Examination Commission decided to annul their results without a right to resit for the exam.
The Education Ministry official warned the graduates taking the Russian and mathematics examinations on 7 June from breaching the rules.
“The two examinations are compulsory for receiving a graduation certificate. I would like to make a warning – those graduates who violate the procedure may find themselves without ones,” she stressed.
“We hope this campus’ participants will never forget their teams, these days and Tatarstan,” acting Tatarstan President Ildar Khalikov said while closing the 5th Presidential Academy’s Summer Campus event at Innopolis.
On July 13 in the afternoon, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a solemn opening of the 3d Regional open Olympiad of young geologists of Tatarstan in Almetievsk region.
The event runs on 21 to 23 April. An official ceremony to open the 6th republican youth forum Our Tatarstan took place at Kazan’s IT Park on 21 April. Attendees included Aide to Tatarstan President Leila Fazleeva and Tatarstan Deputy Youth Affairs and Sport Minister Rustam Garifullin.
