Help Get Ready For School campaign launched in Tatarstan

Between 1 and 25 August, a charity campaign Help Get Ready For School will at the initiative of the United Russia political party’s regional branch and Republican Charity Council be launched in Tatarstan.
In 2007 to 2011, help was given to 85,730 thousand first-year school pupils from low-income families for the total amount of 63,373 thousand roubles.
In 2012-2013, a total of 37,211 children will go to school for the first time. According to preliminary reports, 6,132 thousand children, or 16.9 percent of the total number of first-year pupils, need help.
Besides, charity help is within the campaign planned to be given to 2 to 11th year students, raised in low-income large families, as well as to children taken care of by disabled parents and to disabled children, the Tatarstan Ministry of Education and Science reports.
“We hope this campus’ participants will never forget their teams, these days and Tatarstan,” acting Tatarstan President Ildar Khalikov said while closing the 5th Presidential Academy’s Summer Campus event at Innopolis.
On July 13 in the afternoon, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a solemn opening of the 3d Regional open Olympiad of young geologists of Tatarstan in Almetievsk region.
The event runs on 21 to 23 April. An official ceremony to open the 6th republican youth forum Our Tatarstan took place at Kazan’s IT Park on 21 April. Attendees included Aide to Tatarstan President Leila Fazleeva and Tatarstan Deputy Youth Affairs and Sport Minister Rustam Garifullin.
