Kazan needs major repair plan for kindergartens, official says
26 October 2012, Friday
About half billion roubles has over the recent years been spent on the major repair of kindergartens, but 60 percent of them in Kazan, or 175 built over 30 years ago, require major renovation. The statement was made during a today’s Kazan City Duma session.
“Major renovation remains a problem,” Kazan Department of Education chief Ilsur Khadiullin noted. A target plan, aimed to overhaul the kindergartens, could solve the issue, he said.
The standing commission for education, culture and nationalities highlighted the problem as well.
The deputies spoke about the need to renovate pre-school institutions in Kazan to Tatarstan education and science minister Engel Fattakhov, who was present at the session.
“With a very limited budget, the municipality is unable to carry out the work but if such a plan is designed at a republican level, we could join it,” Kazan City Duma presidium member Riyaz Minzaripov said.
“We hope this campus’ participants will never forget their teams, these days and Tatarstan,” acting Tatarstan President Ildar Khalikov said while closing the 5th Presidential Academy’s Summer Campus event at Innopolis.
On July 13 in the afternoon, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a solemn opening of the 3d Regional open Olympiad of young geologists of Tatarstan in Almetievsk region.
The event runs on 21 to 23 April. An official ceremony to open the 6th republican youth forum Our Tatarstan took place at Kazan’s IT Park on 21 April. Attendees included Aide to Tatarstan President Leila Fazleeva and Tatarstan Deputy Youth Affairs and Sport Minister Rustam Garifullin.
