Tatarstan National Library’s website included in list of helpful internet projects

The global competition of helpful internet projects, Gem of Knowledge, has for the 4th time identified most useful sites on the Tatar-language segment of the internet. The competition is organised by the Belem.ru company with the support of Tatarstan Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Culture and Tatnet Development Foundation non-profit organisation.
This year, 68 internet projects took part in the competition, 34 becoming finalists and 5 being awarded the title Gem of Knowledge.
The list of winners includes sites of Dilyus Shavaliev, a teacher of mathematics and computer science, (dilus-19.web-box.ru), student Alisa Iskhakova (iskhakova.ucoz.ru), Tugan Yagym Yashel Bishek (yashel-bishek.ucoz.ru), Yevlashtausk secondary comprehensive school’s trade union (marsila.org.ru) and Tatarstan’s National Library (kitaphane.tatarstan.ru/tat).
The France-based site, Caravanarba (caravanarba.org/index.php/tt), was one of the prize winners as well.
All the finalists were presented certificates and prizes. The developers of best sites became owners of electronic books PocketBook 623.
“We hope this campus’ participants will never forget their teams, these days and Tatarstan,” acting Tatarstan President Ildar Khalikov said while closing the 5th Presidential Academy’s Summer Campus event at Innopolis.
On July 13 in the afternoon, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a solemn opening of the 3d Regional open Olympiad of young geologists of Tatarstan in Almetievsk region.
The event runs on 21 to 23 April. An official ceremony to open the 6th republican youth forum Our Tatarstan took place at Kazan’s IT Park on 21 April. Attendees included Aide to Tatarstan President Leila Fazleeva and Tatarstan Deputy Youth Affairs and Sport Minister Rustam Garifullin.
