The State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill returning students gold medals

On Friday the State Duma passed in the first reading a bill returning the practice of awarding medals schoolchildren. Authors initiatives opposed by a group of senators and deputies. The bill clarifies encourage students for successes and amend the law" On Education in the Russian Federation ".
Now, according to the law" On Education ", the authorities of subjects of the Russian Federation and local governments have the right to set their own kinds of promotion and in some regions have already begun to enact laws for the restoration of medals.
