3 June 2014, Tuesday
A total of 212,617 children are scheduled to be included in the health improvement programme, counting 168,596 in the summer period. Tatarstan Youth Affairs, Sport and Tourism Minister Rafis Burganov said it at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers. A total of 1,219,160 roubles will be allocated to the purpose.
The 2014 programme has an increased share of group leisure activities, including 171 people scheduled to be sent to the Black Sea coast, 740 to tent camps and 1,500 to work and recreation camps.
The minister went on to note that the programme continued to cater to low-income groups of children. The number of free of charge trip tickets had been increased by 1,317 to total 46,869, he specified.
A trip ticket to a recreation camp for 18 days cost 11,712 roubles, the minister said. “The parents’ fee and procedure of refunding a part of the cost has not changed versus the past year,” R. Burganov said.
“The summer health improvement campaign has been launched. Over 70,000 people, or about 42 percent of the summer volume, are included in the leisure and health improvement programme,” the official concluded.
