Benefactors in Tatarstan donate 31.5 million roubles within Help Get Ready for School drive

A total of 31.5 million roubles had been raised in Tatarstan within a campaign called Help Get Ready for School, Tatarstan Deputy Education and Science Minister Svetlana Giniatullina told a today’s briefing at the House of Tatarstan Government.
“Over seven months, more than 1,000 sponsors have given financial support to 458 comprehensive educational establishments in the republic. The total sum of sponsor help has been 31.5 million roubles,” she told the meeting.
According to the reporter, the effort was the most intensive in Naberezhnye Chelny, Kazan, as well as in Almetievsk, Menzelinsk and Tukayev regions.
The Help Get Ready for School drive is held in Tatarstan for the second year in a row at the initiative of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The main purpose is to attract school graduates, prominent businessmen and executives to giving financial assistance to schools they graduated from.
This year the campaign will run until 1 September.
“We hope this campus’ participants will never forget their teams, these days and Tatarstan,” acting Tatarstan President Ildar Khalikov said while closing the 5th Presidential Academy’s Summer Campus event at Innopolis.
On July 13 in the afternoon, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a solemn opening of the 3d Regional open Olympiad of young geologists of Tatarstan in Almetievsk region.
The event runs on 21 to 23 April. An official ceremony to open the 6th republican youth forum Our Tatarstan took place at Kazan’s IT Park on 21 April. Attendees included Aide to Tatarstan President Leila Fazleeva and Tatarstan Deputy Youth Affairs and Sport Minister Rustam Garifullin.
