3 August 2014, Sunday
A total of 134,725 people, or 69 percent of the total number of pre-school educational institutions pupils, received compensation of parental fees that does not depend on income. Tatarstan Deputy Labour, Employment and Social Security Minister Natalia Butayeva reported the statistics at a today’s briefing at the Tatarstan Cabinet.
Recipients of the additional compensation introduced on 1 January for families with per capita incomes of less than 20,000 roubles had been 71,060 people, or 36.4 percnet of the total number of pre-school educational institutions pupils.
The average parental fee compensation is 401 roubles, average additional compensation is 667 roubles. The average kindergarten attendance fee is 2,300 roubles.
A total of 195,431 children go to kindergartens in Tatarstan.
The speaker said that 70 percent of all people invited to reregister to receive compensation had filed applications.
“We analysed the causes of people not applying. The main reason, 39 percent, is parents being on vacation. Seven percent named an increase in income as the cause, while 12 percent did absence of income. The other 40 percent gave other reasons. Within this in view, I urge everyone to be aware that they can receive welfare aid provided they file an application,” Natalia Butayeva stressed.
“We expect the Tatarstan Information Technology and Communication Ministry in the next few months to finalise the development of an informer, to calculate kindergarten fee compensation,” she added.
