24 November 2014, Monday
The parental payment for a kindergarten will be increased in Tatarstan from January 1, 2015. The growth will amount to 12 percent in average or about 280 rubles, the chief of Tatarstan Education and Science Ministry’s preschool education office Elvira Izmailova reported at a briefing on 20 November.
"The increase of the parental payment connected with growth of financial expenses on preschool educational institutions in accordance with a prognosis of the Russian social and economic development, including the increase of food prices, salaries of kindergarten’s staff,” Elvira Izmailova explained.
According to her, the state takes most of expenses on maintaining a child in kindergarten, which amounts to 8,000 rubles (70 percent) in average. At the same time, a share of the parental payment is only 27 percent.
Moreover, all compensation payments for parents will be saved.
Also, benefits to large families, for children with disabilities, children with tuberculous intoxication, orphans and children without parental care will be preserved.
Tatarstan Education and Science Ministry thinks the growth is caused by the objective increase of total expenses on care of children, thus, there is no reason for panic among parents.
