A nation-wide meeting on legislative regulation and improvement of the secondary school graduation examinations, EGE and GIA, in 2014-2015 is held in Kazan on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Attendees are Rosobrnadzor education oversight authority chief Sergei Kravtsov, Tatarstan education and science minister Engel Fattakhov, and chiefs of Volga Federal District education authorities.
Those gathered are to discuss legislative and procedural specifics of conducting the graduation exams in 2014-2015, share experience in organising and holding the exams, and will learn the results of oversight measures taken by Rosobrnadzor in the Volga Federal District in 2014 and plans for 2015.
“We begin to hold meetings with district ministers on preparing for unified state exam in 2015. We begin from the Volga Federal District. Today in Kazan, all the VFD ministers will report on the current condition and course of preparation. Everything has proceeded as scheduled so far, we see no failures. To check our watches, we hold this meeting,” Sergei Kravtsov explained.
Meetings of the kind would be held in each federal district before the end of next year’s January, he added.
