Russian education oversight authority to make taking final exam for pupils with limited abilities convenient
13 February 2015, Friday
Russian education oversight authority, Rosobrnadzor, has developed examination materials for school students with limited health abilities. The authority will make taking the final school exam in 2015 convenient for pupils receiving long treatment. As last year, Rosobrnadzor has translated the examination materials into the Braille script and developed special answer books. Based on applications filed by Rosobrnadzor, some 500 sets have been made.
If necessary, the authority is willing to set up examination stations at 80 health institutions in Russian regions for school undergraduates receiving long treatment. Earlier, such undergraduates could only take the exam at their place of residence, which created problems, when the child received treatment in another part of Russia.
Authority’s press service has said the terms of taking the final exam are to be compliant with undergraduates with limited abilities’ state of psycho-physical development, individual possibilities and state of health.
Rosobrnadzor has issued recommendations on the methods of conducting the final state examination with account for students’ state of health.
