More than 200 in Tatarstan fail entry-level unified state exam in mathematics

The preliminary results of entry-level unified state exam in mathematics were announced on Wednesday, the Tatarstan Education and Science Ministry’s press service reports. For the first time, the exam was taken by 8,361 school undergraduates. The average score in this part of exam totalled 4.04.
A total of 221 undergraduates in Tatarstan failed to score the minimal number of points, some 2.6 percent of the examinees being given a D mark.
To pass the entry-level unified state examination in mathematics, a score of three is required.
On 14 June, the results of proficiency-level exam in mathematics are expected.
On 11 June, 5,384 undergraduates in Tatarstan will take the unified state exam in physics, while 1,620 will sit for the written part of foreign-language exam.
“We hope this campus’ participants will never forget their teams, these days and Tatarstan,” acting Tatarstan President Ildar Khalikov said while closing the 5th Presidential Academy’s Summer Campus event at Innopolis.
On July 13 in the afternoon, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a solemn opening of the 3d Regional open Olympiad of young geologists of Tatarstan in Almetievsk region.
The event runs on 21 to 23 April. An official ceremony to open the 6th republican youth forum Our Tatarstan took place at Kazan’s IT Park on 21 April. Attendees included Aide to Tatarstan President Leila Fazleeva and Tatarstan Deputy Youth Affairs and Sport Minister Rustam Garifullin.
