An official ceremony marking the Day of the Teacher has been held in the Kamal Theatre in Kazan.Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov was an attendee.
According to the head of government, the Day of the Teacher was a celebration different from other holidays.
“Each of us remembers the unforgettable day, when they first went to school and the moving day when they, with tears in their eyes, left school,” I. Khalikov said. “Each of us attaches their greatest expectations related to the future of their children and grandchildren to educators.”
Not only educators teach particular subjects to children but they form human psychology, in doing which they have to resolve many different tasks, the premier said. He came from a family of teachers, he shared, and he knew what it was like having stacks of exercise books every evening and how joyful it was to hear a graduate three of five years later calling to say happy birthday.
Pedagogy was one of the priority areas that the President and government of Tatarstan focused on, I. Khalikov stressed. A programme called Kilechek had been implemented in Tatarstan, offering teachers many opportunities for development and allowing the best of them to have decent salaries. Major repair of schools was under way in Tatarstan, he added.
“We can see your contribution to the republic’s future,” I. Khalikov noted, wishing to the teachers enthusiastic and responsive students who would in 15 years not forget how important their teachers had been in their life.
Prime Minister proceeded by presenting awards to teachers. Alexander Ryzhov, a physical training teacher at comprehensive secondary school No 113 in Kazan, was conferred the title of Honoured Teacher on. Professor at Kazan Federal University Ragde Khalitov was given the medal For Valorous Labour.
