Over 2 thousand school students in Tatarstan take part in IT Champion competition

6 March 2013, Wednesday
A total of 2,135 children have earned their first grades in a Tatarstan-wide competition IT Champion, launched on 1 March.
A total of 32 thousand unique visitors have viewed the page with the competition’s terms in the Electronic Education in Tatarstan information system. In 2,437 adult profiles at the state services site, 2,135 logins owned by children have been saved.
The competition includes two nominations. The first, marked with grades, is Most Active School Student, in which students compete among adults signed up by them at the state services website.
The second nomination is creative and its results will be summed up once at the end of the year.
“The competition’s participants are in for quite a few surprises. The prize fund will constantly grow. The students can cumulate marks for an iPad, T-shirts, backpacks, flash cards and many more, ones with brand logos that cannot be bought in shops. Meetings with IT Park residents, visits to mass cultural events and meetings with interesting people are scheduled,” Roman Shaikhutdinov said.
Results would be summed up and prizes given monthly and quarterly in each municipal region,he went on to say. The organisers pledge that each region will be allocated a sufficient number of prizes, so nobody is left unawarded.
Each Tatarstan municipality has joined the competition, most active ones found in Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny. A school student from the Almetievsk region scored the most, 45 points, in as little as three days.
