Kazan school student Mikhail Yagofarov wins silver at international chemistry competition

Kazan school student Mukhail Yagofarov has won the silver medal at the 45th international chemistry competition among school student on 15-24 July held at the premises of the Moscow Lomonosov University’s department of chemistry.
Tatarstan Education and Science Ministry’s press service chief, Alsu Mukhametova, said the 11th –year student studied in school No 131 in Kazan’s Vakhitov district.
In all, Russian school students won two gold and two silver medals at the competition. Nikita Shlapakov of Cheliabinsk and Evgeny Guliak of Novosibirsk won gold medals, while Artem Boichuk of Noiabrsk, as well as Mikhail Yagafarov, were given silver awards.
School students from more than 70 countries took part in the competition.
“We hope this campus’ participants will never forget their teams, these days and Tatarstan,” acting Tatarstan President Ildar Khalikov said while closing the 5th Presidential Academy’s Summer Campus event at Innopolis.
On July 13 in the afternoon, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a solemn opening of the 3d Regional open Olympiad of young geologists of Tatarstan in Almetievsk region.
The event runs on 21 to 23 April. An official ceremony to open the 6th republican youth forum Our Tatarstan took place at Kazan’s IT Park on 21 April. Attendees included Aide to Tatarstan President Leila Fazleeva and Tatarstan Deputy Youth Affairs and Sport Minister Rustam Garifullin.
