Tatarstan Prime Minister visits cadet school No 1 in Vasilievo

Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Ildar Khalikov, visited cadet school No 1 in the village of Vasilievo in Tatarstan’s Zelenodolsky region.
He was accompanied by education minister, Engel Fattakhov, chief federal inspector for Tatarstan, Renat Timerzyanov, and school No 1 headmistress, Galina Zaitseva.
Head of government watched the teaching and patriotic upbringing activities, inspected the assembly hall, gym, chemistry and computer science classrooms, and visited the school’s museum.
A total of 400 children study at the school. The curriculum includes a cadet component, which means history of the cadet movement, military history and other subjects. The school is in the future planned to be transformed into a boarding cadet school, including for orphaned children from Kazans’ Kirov district, Nurlat orphanage and Zelenodolsk orphanage.
