At Tatar-inform's press conference, Danil Mustafin, First Deputy Tatarstan minister of Education and Science, stated that over 1,500 anti-corruption events were held in Tatarstan in 2012 and 2013 academic years.
The information regarding corruption and forming a negative attitude towards it are considered in schools in different forms and often explained at History, Social Studies, Law and Economics lessons. Students are told how the corruption originates, how it manifests itself and what negative consequences it brings.
However, as this issue is difficult to cover during regular lessons, a large attention is devoted to extra-curricular activities: discussion clubs, conferences, social projects are organized for the children, involving anti-corruption authorities' representatives.
Also, themed educational events are organized at homerooms, like contests for the best poster or the best social reel on the subject.
Universities and specialized colleges also take part in this work.
