IT Champion 2014 competition kicks off in Tatarstan

A Tatarstan-wide IT Champion 2014 competition launched today. Access to personal cabinets will be open until 15 March.

Tatarstan Education and Science Ministry’s press officer Alsu Mukhametova said that both school students and entire schools would participate in the 2014 event.

Most Active Pupil nomination winners will be awarded laptop computers, while ‘the most active schools’ will be supplied with interactive equipment and mobile classrooms.

A total of 306 laptops, 51 sets of interactive equipment, three mobile classrooms and over 2,000 commemorative prizes are allocated for the competition.

The IT Champion’s inaugural edition was organised in 2013 and included two stages. Over 253,000 school students took part. They trained over 320,000 grownups to work with the Tatarstan state and municipal services website. After the three stages, 459 pupils were given tablet PCs. The pupils were entitled to exchange scored points for commemorative prizes.

The monthly number caused the number of rendered services grew by over 60 percent.
