Rural schools will get new gyms

Rural schools this year will be given 1 billion 800 million rubles to repair and gym equipment. In 2015 will be spent another 5 billion rubles.

Recall that in 1950 Russia had 113,000 rural schools, by 2005 the number fell to 45,000, and for the past seven years - to 27,400. Today, a quarter of all rural schools do not have gyms, and those that have, gyms have not been repaired.

The government has decided to allocate the necessary funds this year. First of all, the budget will be spent on repairing gyms, conversion audiences under gyms, equipping schools with sports equipment, developing of school sports clubs and construction of street playgrounds at schools. The project has been tested: the reconstruction of the gym in just 10 days at a cost of 1 million rubles.
