A total of over 28.5 million roubles has been raised to help Tatarstan schools within a campaign called Help Prepare for School. Tatarstan deputy education minister Svetlana Giniyatullina said it at a briefing on Monday.
The Summer Campus of the Presidential Academy international educational forum opened Kazan ski resort.
Campus is a large-scale event, where over a half of the participating students are representatives of the Presidential Academy and its branches. Along with the participants from Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, students from 18 more regions are participating. There are 250 participants in the forum, including 30 foreign students.

The results of Year of Mathematics in Tatarstan were summed up at Kazan’s Korston centre on Wednesday. Tatarstan Education and Science Minister Engel Fattakhov took part in the ceremony.
Opening the meeting, chief of Tatarstan education greeted those present on the end of the school year. “Mathematics is indeed the queen of all sciences. Of course, solving all tasks in one year is impossible, which is why the work in this direction will be continued,” Engel Fattakhov stressed.
The region’s educational system has a strong infrastructure. The main goal is to work with the teachers, particularly, to train teaching staff, including teachers of exact subjects, to improve their skills and to retrain them.
Tatarstan has won the third place in a general team ranking within the World Robot Olympiad’s national stage held in Kazan on 20-22 June.
Deputy Tatarstan Information Technology and Communications Minister Yuriy Bagrov told a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet’s premises that 33 teams had represented the region and six of them had won prizes.
Preliminary results of the unified state examinations in physics and foreign languages have been made public. On its website,Tatarstan Education and Science Ministry reports that 5,930 pupils in Tatarstan took the examination in physics, ten of them scoring 100 points. A total of 854, or 14.4 percent of the graduates, failed to attain the minimal score.
President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with winners of national and international school subject competitions and their teachers at the Republic Centre for Education Quality Monitoring earlier in the day. Other attendees were Tatarstan Education Minister Engel Fattakhov and Kazan Federal University Rector Ilshat Gafurov. The first meeting took place last year.
Eleventh-year school pupils will take the second compulsory exam in mathematics today. A total of 19,597 Tatarstan schoolchildren are scheduled to take the exam, Tatarstan Education and Science Ministry’s press service reports.The exam will last 3 hours and 55 minutes. Examinees are only allowed to take a ruler that contains no information related to mathematics to the room. The pupils need to score at least 24 points.
