21 August 2015, Friday

Earlier in the day, the Tatarstan education and science officials held a regular August meeting in Bugulma. Acting Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov was an attendee.

Before the meeting began, Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and Education and Science Minister Engel Fattakhov visited some local educational institutions.

School No 2 was founded in 1938 and has since 1966 been providing advanced courses in mathematics and physics. In 1993, it was officially acknowledged as a lyceum, specialising in industrial-technical specialities, physics, mathematics and chemistry.

The Bugulma comprehensive correctional school for hearing-impaired children is situated on the third floor of a building of 6,374 square metres, housing 18 classrooms, a library, gymnasium, medical room, canteen, and a computer classroom for eight. The staff consists of 24 teachers and 19 fosterers. In 2015, the Bugulma boarding school won a prize in the national competition Best Correctional Institution held in Saint-Petersburg.

The visiting persons attended the opening of a kindergarten Belekech, built on a space of 2,639 square metres and offering a music room, gymnasium, Tatar language classroom and psychological recreation room.

“The future of children is what matters the most. The kindergarten construction programme is very important,” Rustam Minnikhanov noted. “The fact that the today’s meeting of education officials takes place here testifies to you having a lot to learn from,” he is convinced.

He then visited the local recently reconstructed park.

Acting Tatarstan governor presented keys to Ford school buses to the municipal region chiefs.

“Buses for our schoolchildren, especially in the rural areas, are a necessity. Our strategy is to build basic schools, so that every child gets competitive education regardless of where they live,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
