WorldSkills Russia international competence centre to be set up in Kazan

An international WorldSkills Russia competence centre will be opened on the grounds of Kazan Information Technologies and Communication College.

The Republic of Tatarstan’s bid to set up a competence centre to train the national team in IT was approved by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science. The expert commission that examined the bid included Strategic Initiative Agency and WorldSkills Russia union.

Last week, First Deputy Tatarstan Minister of Education and Science Andrei Pominov and Kazan Information Technologies and Communication College director Natalia Kitaeva defended the bid in front of the expert commission. Tatarstan Centre for Information Technologies executive director Tatiana Kamaletdinova was an attendee as well.

The WorldSkills working occupations championship will take place in Kazan in 2019.
