In the Five Evenings with Rustam Minnikhanov TV show on TNV channel, the Tatarstan President noted the Russian national team was expected to win at the upcoming WorldSkills International working occupations championship Kazan would host in 2019.

The 11th Russian workshop conference Derzhavin Recital will open in Kazan. The event will gather some 450 participants, a news conference at Tatar-inform was told earlier in the day.

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan is glad to announce the IV International Tatar Language and Literature Competition.

Between 15 and 23 October, Kazan will host an international astronomy Olympiad among school pupils. Participants will be over 60 boys and girls from Romania, Macedonia, Korea, India, Thailand, Czechia, Bulgaria, Italy, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Sweden and Russia.

A festivity marking the World Teachers’ Day was held in Kazan on Saturday. Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Tatarstan State Council Deputy Chairman Tatiana Larionova, Tatarstan Education Ministern Engel Fattakhov, and other officials, were present.

To prepare for the WorldSkills international championship in Kazan, Russian Federation develops a responsibility distribution concept envisaging the establishment of interregional competence centres. To do that, 4 billion roubles will be allocated from the federal budget, Tatarstan Education and Science Minister Engel Fattakhov told a today’s meeting chaired by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov.

The Teacher of the Year 2015 national competition opened in Kazan earlier in the day. The ceremony took place at Kamal State Academic Theatre.
